If you were able to get in the Paddy's Day show at the High Noon, you may have noticed a couple of new faces on stage. We're very happy to introduce guitarist Brendan Franklin. A native of New Berlin, Brendan is finishing up his degree in Music at Edgewood College. On Paddy's Day he led a rousing rendition of Dick Dale's Miserlou--complete with Gretsch guitar.

Also, joining us on St Pat's was fiddler Jon Vriesacker. Jon is a longtime veteran of the Madison music scene. His main gig is with Madison Symphony, but he's played with Garbage, Ken Lonnquist and many other fine musicians. Expect to see Jon at most of our dates (if he can fit us in to his busy schedule).

RIP Ben Masel - May 3, 2011

Long time Madison activist Ben Masel recently died of lung cancer. He was a Kissers fan and saw us frequently at our Monday night gig at O'Cayz Corral back in the end of the 20th century. I've always respected him for his unrelenting efforts to do what he believed was right and for constantly arguing in favor of ending the drug war and legalizing marijuana. I am 100% a proponent of treating drug abuse as an illness to be treated and NOT a crime to be punished. We've lost a great voice to this cause.

In memory of Ben, I've posted an old Kissers song, Ray of Truth, that mentions Ben and his highest profile event: Harvest Fest.

We'll miss you, Ben.

New Song Posted - March 15, 2011

Inspired by the hundreds of thousands of people who have been gathering in Madison, in Wisconsin, and around the U.S., we wrote a new song called "Scotty, We're Coming for You."
